The Sonrai Workorder System is an extension to Sonrai’s existing suite of applications for the Waste Management industry. It is designed to allow waste haulers to centrally manage the allocation of workOrders to its field staff for execution, while simultaneously monitoring their progress and completion via iPhone/IPad.
The two core components of this system are a web based portal that is accessed by a central operator and used to assign workOrders to individual handhelds to staff in the field. The portal also allows the central operator to monitor the state of progress on any particular workOrder and to generate reports about workOrders in general.
The second component is the iOS application that runs on a iPhone/Ipad device which is in the possession of the waste haulers field staff. The role of this iOS application is to receive workOrders, as assigned by the portal central operator, allow the field staff to record the status of each workOrder and then to synchronize the locally held database of workOrders with the portal’s main database of all processed workOrders across all handheld devices.
The iPhone/Ipad device establishes a internet connection to the Portal and in the case of a break in connectivity, it maintains a local copy of its processed orders which it automatically synchronizes with the portal when connectivity is restored.
